Warm and Cool Colored Hands

I recently found another great idea on Pinterest. (You can check out my boards here.)  This one came from Kathy Barbo’s Art Projects for Kids blog.

The directions are simply to trace your hand and then draw circles, squares or another shape overlapping the image. Next, color in the hand using only warm colors such as red, yellow and orange; and the space around the hand with cool colors such as green, blue and purple. I had my students use crayons.

This art project requires paying close attention to ensure you are coloring in the right areas, but it does produce a lovely product.
